In February 2025, our project team visited two of the project locations under the ONGD-LLEST Project: Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City and Dhangadhimai Municipality. With two teams of five members each, we visited Shree Madhyamik Vidyalaya in Janakpurdham-22, Basabitti, and Shree Janta Adharbhut Vidhyalaya in Dhangadhimai-4, Shantanagar. The visits focused on setting up an offline server with O.L.E. Nepal's digital learning resources, providing tablets to access those learning materials, and introducing students and teachers to our learning platforms. Beyond that, we worked to build rapport with schools and local communities, assess learning needs, test the usability of the learning platform, gather feedback through teacher and student surveys, and lay the foundation for long-term collaboration in enhancing education.

By the end of March 2025, we carried out the first phase of field activities at Minnath Adarsha Sikshya Sadan Basic School in Lalitpur Metropolitan City, one of the five project schools in the ONGD-LLEST project. During this period, our efforts went beyond deploying an offline server equipped with E-Pustakalaya, E-Paath, and Hamro Ramailo Kathaharu (HRK) collection and tablets for accessing those contents. It was also an opportunity to engage directly with both students and teachers, allowing us to gain insights into their learning needs and educational contexts. We organized a series of interactive workshops and training sessions, where teachers and students learned about the digital learning platform, explored the role of technology in enhancing education, and reflected on how it can help teaching and learning practices. Additionally, a student survey assessed foundational numeracy and reading skills, helping us identify key gaps that inform the development of learning materials for our ongoing interventions.

After eight days of travel, our team finally reached Siddhartha Kula school at Tinje, Dolpo. It wasn’t an easy journey—two days of flights, four days of trekking through breathtaking landscapes, and a rest day to recover before we arrived at the school. The school is set between large stone hills and rivers, creating a calm and beautiful scene that amazed us all.
