As part of our ongoing digital library program in partnership with Autism Care Chitwan Society (ACCS), our team conducted a four-day teacher training session at CMT Hotel in Bharatpur from 24th to 27th October 2024. The training aimed to empower teachers with the skills to effectively integrate technology into their classrooms, enhance their capacity to provide meaningful guidance, and boost their confidence in facilitating learning.

Altogether, 26 new teachers from 13 program schools, along with mentors and government officials, participated in the training, reaching a total of 30 participants. The schools represented in the program included:

  • Rastriya Secondary School, Chitwan
  • Rastriya Basic School, Chitwan
  • Shree Secondary School, Chitwan
  • Annapurna Secondary School, Chitwan

  • Rastriya Secondary School, Kalika-1
  • Prithivi Secondary School, Chitwan
  • Bhimodaya Secondary School, Chitwan
  • Rastriya Secondary School, Krishnapur

The training covered a wide range of topics, from basic computer skills to more comprehensive modules. Participants were introduced to our digital resources, including E-Paath (Interactive Learning Platforms), E-Pustakalaya (E-Library), Hamro Ramailo Kaatharu (HRK), and Seepalaya, alongside other educational software. They also received hands-on training in troubleshooting technical issues, setting up devices such as E-Pustakalaya Servers and routers, and implementing digital tools in their classrooms.

The Objectives of the training were:

  • Orient teachers to enhance their comprehension of computers and other relevant devices as applicable.
  • Familiarize educators with the diverse resources available in the offline digital library, E-Pustakalaya.
  • Equip teachers to troubleshoot technical, managerial, and pedagogical challenges related to E-Pustakalaya.
  • Provide guidance and enhance teachers' capacity for the effective implementation of technology in their classrooms.

This training significantly enhanced the participants' knowledge and skills, equipping them to confidently facilitate learning for their peers and students. It marked an important step in strengthening the foundation for technology-driven education in program schools.
