The STEAM AHEAD project, "Showing Talent, Equality, and Ambitions of Marginalized Children in Karnali," supported by Plan International, is nearing its completion. Following the refresher training at all schools in September 2023, the project is now in its final stages, focusing on content updates on offline servers and providing technical support to schools. The culmination will involve handing over the program to relevant stakeholders.

The LLEST project tackles two major educational challenges in Nepal: the lack of local language materials for early childhood education and insufficient quality resources for skill-based training in rural areas. In 2024, our primary focus is on researching, designing, and planning 10 skills-based courses and developing a personalized learning platform, with significant progress made in laying the groundwork and establishing key partnerships in the first half of the year.

Nisha is quickly gaining confidence in navigating the course material on the computer. Tapriza is one of 15 program schools in Dolpa.

OLE Nepal with the support of the KDDI Foundation conducted a five day teacher’s training at Shree Navajyoti Deaf Secondary School, Sindhuli. The five days were set aside for training sessions, which covered NSL E-Paath, Sangketik Sikai, E-Pustakalaya, digital content integration in their daily teaching and learning process and an introduction to computers and their uses.

As a part of our vision to make education accessible and inclusive, we started a project to create digital content that can assist students to learn the Nepali Sign Language (NSL). Known as Sanketik Sikai, the collection consists of 60 modules of digital activities embedded with sign language videos for young students with hearing impairments.
